Golkar Secretary-General Explains Nusron Wahid's Resignation from Party

Golkar Party Secretary-General Sarmuji stated that the Minister of ATR/BPN, Nusron Wahid, resigned from the Golkar Party management six months ago. Nusron is said to have stepped down from the Golkar board to focus on other matters.

“Mr Nusron resigned from the management more than six months ago. Perhaps he wants to focus on other things,” Sarmuji told reporters on Monday (21/9/2026).

However, Sarmuji did not explicitly reveal what specific matters Nusron intends to focus on that led to his decision to resign from the Golkar party management.

It was previously reported that the news of Nusron Wahid’s resignation from the Golkar Party management was also confirmed by Golkar Vice Chairman Ahmad Doli Kurnia.

“Brother Nusron did indeed submit his resignation from the Golkar Party Central Executive Board (DPP) several months ago,” Doli told reporters on Saturday (19/9).

Nusron is a member of the Golkar Party DPP management. In the Golkar DPP management period for 2024-2029, Nusron served as the Head of Religious and Spiritual Affairs.
