Golkar Secretary General and Former Youth and Sports Minister to Address Kosgoro Youth Congress

Jakarta - Golkar Party Central Executive Board Secretary General Muhammad Sarmuji and Youth and Sports Minister for the 2023-2025 period Dito Ariotedjo are scheduled to deliver material during the fifth National Congress of Golkar’s youth wing, Barisan Muda Kosgoro 1957, on 8–10 August 2026 in Semarang Regency, Central Java.

The Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Fifth BMK 1957 Congress, Siswanto, stated that these national and political figures would provide substantial upgrading material to strengthen the capacity and insight of cadres.

“The presence of these figures is expected to provide perspective and experience to BMK 1957 cadres in facing organisational challenges and national dynamics,” Siswanto said in a statement received in Jakarta on Monday.

Other figures scheduled to deliver material include the Head of the Youth Division of the Golkar Central Executive Board, Said Aldi Al Idrus, the Head of the Community Organisations Division of the Golkar Central Executive Board, Fahd Rafiq, as well as several former chairmen of BMK 1957 and Central Java political figures, including Muhammad Saleh.

He revealed that 250 participants from all provinces across Indonesia are scheduled to attend the forum. In addition to internal BMK 1957 participants, the Fifth Congress will also invite elements of national youth community organisations.

Siswanto said all preparations for the congress have been made to ensure the organisational agenda runs smoothly.

“The Fifth Congress will be officially opened by the Chairperson of the Central Executive Board of Kosgoro 1957, Sari Yuliati, who also serves as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives,” he said.

He added that the congress would not only serve as an organisational consultative forum but would also be filled with upgrading material to enhance cadre capacity. According to him, the Fifth BMK 1957 Congress is also a consolidation space for cadres from various regions to strengthen organisational relations and chart the future direction of BMK 1957.

“We hope this Fifth Congress can become a momentum for national consolidation as well as strengthening the capacity of BMK 1957 cadres throughout Indonesia,” Siswanto said.
