Golkar Party Holds Silaturahmi and Ramadan Safari in Sukabumi
Golkar Party’s Central Executive Board (DPP) held Silaturahmi and a Ramadan Safari at Ponpes Azzainiyyah in Nagrog, Sukabumi, West Java, on Sunday. General Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia attended, accompanied by members of the DPP, including Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Secretary General Muhammad Sarmuji, and Treasurer Sari Yuliati. Also present were Deputy Chairmen of Golkar and members of the Golkar faction in the DPR RI.
In his remarks, Bahlil, who is also the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, said that Ponpes Azzainiyyah was built through various struggles solely to uphold Islamic Sharia. ‘The sacrifices made were in order to uphold the Sharia of Islam, raise awareness that was not yet conscious, bring closer those who were not close, those who are far should be brought near, and even to the point of burning because there was a clash of political ideologies at the time,’ he said. He added that this was the same as Golkar’s struggle, which emerged to defend the ideology of Pancasila from attacks and from the wishes of a certain group in society at the time, namely communists.
‘Thus, this pesantren is not surprising when we say that this is a pesantren of the struggle to uphold Pancasila on the land of Indonesia,’ he said.
Bahlil and his entourage arrived at Ponpes Azzainiyyah around 16:30 WIB. They were greeted by the santri who sang selawat. The delegation then held the Asr prayer in congregation, led by the pesantren administrators. After the prayer, they visited the founder’s grave, KH Zezen Zaenal Abidin Bazul Asyhab.
The event continued with the inauguration of one of the pesantren’s buildings. The delegation then entered the main building to share Silaturahmi with the pesantren administrators and a number of santri. The DPP Golkar leadership then gave gift parcels to the santri. The event concluded with a communal breaking of the fast.
