Golkar legislator reported to police

JAKARTA (JP): A 24-year-old mother filed a complaint with city
police on Friday against her former employer, Golkar Party
legislator Ahmadi Noor Supit, whom she said was the father of her
illegitimate child.

Identifying herself only as Onah, 24, the woman said that
since her employment at the residence of Ahmadi in 1998, a
legislator on House Commission V for trade and industrial
affairs, she had been repeatedly forced to have sex with him.

"I refused. I fought him. But then, I got very scared. He's a
big man, you see. After that first time, he threatened me and
told me to shut up about the matter," Onah, accompanied by lawyer
Sahala Limbong, told police officers who took her statement at
the city police public service center on Friday.

Onah said that Ahmadi then repeatedly forced himself on her,
until she discovered that she was pregnant with his child.

"I told him I was four months pregnant. He kicked me out of
the house, and handed me Rp 4 million (US$354) to find some
shelter somewhere and have my baby. He said he didn't want to
have anything to do with it," Onah, who is currently a resident
of Jl. H. Keong in Ciputat, South Jakarta, sadly said.

Ahmadi could not be reached for comment. (ylt)
