Golkar Forges Adaptive Young Leaders Through AMPG National Training

Jakarta – The Golkar Party has undertaken further consolidation steps to forge a resilient generation of successors capable of meeting future political challenges. Through its wing organisation, the banyan tree party launched the Opening of the National Young Cadre Training for the Central Board of the Golkar Party’s Young Generation Force (AMPG) Wave III of 2026, held concurrently with the AMPG National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas). Secretary-General of the Golkar Party Central Board, M. Sarmuji, emphasised that this cadre development programme is a long-term investment for the party. According to him, the training is not merely a forum for transferring political knowledge, but a crucible for training cadres’ sensitivity to social issues. ‘This training is vital for the Golkar Party because it prepares young people who have character as well as good insight, understand problems, and can solve problems,’ Sarmuji said at the Golkar Party Central Board Office, cited Saturday, 11 July 2026. Sarmuji also highlighted the rapid pace of current change. He urged the young AMPG cadres not to be rigid and to continuously accustom themselves to existing dynamics, because past approaches are often no longer effective for solving today’s problems. ‘What we did yesterday is not necessarily suitable for what we face today. The ability to adapt and adjust to the times is the key to remaining relevant to the current situation,’ he said. On the same occasion, General Chairman of PP AMPG, Said Aldi Al Idrus, explained that before entering the training session, the event was preceded by a Rapimnas attended by representatives of 36 AMPG Regional Boards from across the country. He stated this agenda is a direct mandate from the General Chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, together with Secretary-General M. Sarmuji. ‘After this, we will conduct a three-day training, starting tomorrow until Sunday. This activity is part of the effort to strengthen AMPG cadre development throughout Indonesia,’ said Said. Said added that the main focus of this training is to unify the frequencies of the AMPG provincial chairs who were recently elected through Regional Conferences (Musda). This unification of vision is considered crucial so that the party machinery can move in harmony.
