Golkar Figures Send Condolence Wreaths to Alex Noerdin's House
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Numerous wreaths expressing condolences filled the area in front of the house of the late former Governor of South Sumatra, Alex Noerdin, located at his son Dodi Reza Alex’s house in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
Based on Kompas.com’s observation at the location on Wednesday (25/2/2026) at around 8:00 PM, there were wreaths from three former chairmen of the Golkar Party, namely Jusuf Kalla, Aburizal Bakrie, and Akbar Tanjung.
The Chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, the Secretary-General of the Golkar Party, M Sarmuji, and the Deputy Speaker of the DPR from the Golkar Party faction, Sari Yuliati, also sent wreaths to the house of the Golkar politician.
It is known that Alex Noerdin passed away at the age of 76 while undergoing medical treatment in hospital.
The family spokesperson, Okta Alfarizi, said that the body would first be laid in state at his son, Dodi Reza Alex Noerdin’s, house tonight.
The body will be taken from the house at 6:00 AM with a scheduled departure time of 7:00 AM from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.
In Palembang, the body of Alex will be laid in state again at the House of Mourning on Jalan Merdeka before being buried in the Family Cemetery in Kebun Bunga, Palembang City.
