Golkar Family: Fadia Arafiq Faces Corruption Case, What Did Bahlil Say?

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The suspended Pekalongan regent Fadia Arafiq, her husband Ashraff Abu, a member of the House of Representatives, and their son Sabiq Ashraff, a Pekalongan City Council member, all come from Golkar and are under the spotlight in the same corruption case. What does Golkar say? ‘We will wait for the legal process and respect the process,’ said Golkar Secretary-General Sarmuji at the party’s central office in West Jakarta, on Friday (6 March 2026) evening. ‘We hand over the legal process.’ Meanwhile, the Chairman of Golkar, Bahlil Lahadalia, declined to respond about the Pekalongan regent’s corruption case. ‘Ah well, (it’s) Nuzulul Quran,’ he said. The KPK suspects that the money originated from projects won by PT RNB (Raja Nusantara Berjaya) in Pekalongan Regency. KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Expenditure Asep Guntur Rahayu said, from 2023 to 2026 there were inbound transactions to PT RNB totaling Rp46 billion sourced from contracts between PT RNB and regional devices in Pekalongan Regency. ‘From that money, only Rp22 billion was used to pay outsourcing staff salaries. The rest of it was enjoyed and distributed to the regent’s family, totaling Rp19 billion (around 40 percent) of the total transactions,’ Asep said at the Merah Putih Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday (4/3/2026). Asep detailed the breakdown of the money among: - Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq Rp5.5 billion; - Mukhtaruddin Ashraff Abu (husband) Rp1.1 billion; - Rul Bayatun as Director of PT RNB Rp2.3 billion; - Muhammad Sabiq Ashraff (son) Rp4.6 billion; - Mehnaz (another daughter) Rp2.5 billion; - Plus cash withdrawals of Rp3 billion.
