Golkar Faction in DPR Replaces MKD Leadership

The House of Representatives’ Honour Council (MKD) of the DPR RI has undergone a leadership change. Hasan Basri Agus has become Deputy Chair of the MKD, replacing Agung Widyantoro.

The appointment was announced by Deputy Speaker of the House Cucun Ahmad Syamsurizal in the MKD chamber at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday (15/9/2026). Cucun first read out that the House leadership had received a letter regarding the replacement from the Golkar faction.

“The House leadership has received a letter from the Golkar Party faction, number SJ00.1392/Fraksi Partai Golkar/DPR RI/8/2026, dated 18 August 2026, concerning the submission of a change in the leadership of House organs and the Golkar Party faction,” said Cucun.

Cucun then asked the meeting participants for their approval of the MKD leadership change. The members of the meeting agreed.

“Hereby, we, as the leadership of the House, appoint Mr Hasan Basri Agus, member number 281 from the Golkar Party faction, as deputy chair of the Honour Council of the DPR RI, replacing Mr Agung Widyantoro, member number 319. Can this be approved?” he said.

“Approved,” the meeting participants responded.

Cucun then handed the leadership gavel to Hasan Basri Agus. The latest composition of the MKD leadership is as follows:

• Chair of the MKD: Nazaruddin Dek Gam from the PAN faction

• Deputy Chair of the MKD: I Wayan Sudirta from the PDIP faction

• Deputy Chair of the MKD: Hasan Basri Agus from the Golkar faction

• Deputy Chair of the MKD: Imron Amin from the Gerindra faction

• Deputy Chair of the MKD: Adang Daradjatun from the PKS faction
