Golkar DKI Jakarta Distributes 117 Sacrificial Animals Across Five Jakarta Administrative Regions
The Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of Golkar Jakarta has again demonstrated its social commitment during the 1447 Hijriah Iduladha celebration on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.
This year, Golkar Jakarta carried out the slaughter and distribution of a total of 117 sacrificial animals, comprising 57 cows and 60 goats, evenly distributed across five administrative regions of Jakarta.
The sacrificial animals were donated by Golkar Jakarta DPD Chairman Ahmed Zaki Iskandar, who contributed eight cows distributed across all Golkar Jakarta DPD II branches and BKKBN, while Secretary Basri Baco donated 19 cows for Electoral District 1 in Jakarta.
Additionally, Acting Chairman Judistira Hermawan donated six cows distributed in Cakung, Matraman Pulagadung, Penggilingan, the North Jakarta DPD, and BKKBN.
Other sacrifices came from Golkar faction members of the Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD DKI). These included 26 goats from Dadiyono, three cows from Andri Santosa, nine goats from Syafii Djohan, and two cows from Sardi Wahab. The remainder were contributed by party cadres.
Golkar Jakarta DPD Chairman Ahmed Zaki Iskandar stated that the act of sacrifice teaches people to give and care for one another.
By holding annual sacrifices, Golkar aims to share happiness, particularly with those in need.
“Animal slaughter is conducted at various locations and distributed to eligible recipients. Insha’Allah, with Iduladha and the ‘Golkar Shares’ programme, the sacrifice embodies our obedience to Allah’s command,” said Ahmed Zaki.
Known as Bang Zaki, he expressed hope that the sacrifice would earn Allah’s favour and reflect piety. He added that sacrificing teaches sincerity and rekindles the spirit of sharing in society.
“For Golkar, Iduladha is a golden opportunity to strengthen brotherhood and foster a spirit of mutual care in community life,” he said.
Zaki further urged all community elements to maintain harmony and mutual support, especially during the blessed and benevolent occasion of Iduladha.
He emphasised that Golkar Party will always commit to being present among the people, building closeness, and consistently advocating for public aspirations.
In line with this, Golkar Jakarta DPD’s Spiritual Affairs Deputy Chairman Ashraf Ali stated that the essence of slaughtering sacrificial animals is to make a tangible contribution so the community can share in the joy.
“Sacrificial animals are a tool of worship and a means to strengthen Islamic brotherhood. Golkar will always be present among the people to provide the best service,” concluded Ashraf.
