Golkar chapter has new chairman

MEDAN, North Sumatra: Yunus Harahap, outgoing deputy chairman of the North Sumatra Golkar chapter, was elected chairman in a party meeting here on Wednesday.

Yunus, who garnered a majority of the votes during the election, beat rival Zainuddin Tanjung.

The meeting was also attended by Golkar chairman Akbar Tandjung. (21)
