Golkar calls on young cadres to identify legislative candidates for 2029

Jakarta — The Head of the Youth and Sports Division of Golkar Party’s Central Executive Board, Said Aldi Al Idrus, has called on the party’s young cadres to identify the best cadres who possess extraordinary charisma and public sympathy to be proposed as prospective legislative candidates capable of increasing the party’s vote share in the 2029 general election.

Said explained that Golkar’s Central Executive Board has issued this instruction to achieve maximum results in the 2029 general election (Pemilu).

“God willing, the Youth and Sports Division of Golkar’s Central Executive Board will continue to work militantly to achieve the best results because the General Chairman of Golkar’s Central Executive Board, Bahlil Lahadalia, has prepared various strategies to increase Golkar’s votes in the 2029 Pemilu,” Said said, who also serves as Chairman of the Central Leadership of the Young Generation of Golkar Party (PP AMPG), in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.

Additionally, he requested that Golkar’s youth elements mobilise and engage directly with communities to oversee and support President Prabowo Subianto’s flagship policies and programmes in accordance with Bahlil’s directives.

“To all elements of Golkar’s youth party, I ask you to engage directly with communities, socialise the government’s flagship programmes that are highly beneficial and have been enjoyed and felt by people in their respective regions,” he said.

Meanwhile, during the Technical Coordination Meeting (Rakornis) of Golkar’s Youth and Sports Division, he stated that all Karya Kekaryaan affiliated organisations (OKP) have solidly supported Bahlil in overseeing government programmes following the joint American and Israeli aggression against Iran.

He also requested that leaders of Karya Kekaryaan affiliated organisations develop party cadres to strengthen the cadre base across Indonesia, as well as to ensure the success of Golkar’s programme to recruit two million new cadres from millennial generation and youth elements at all levels of the party.
