Golkar is unbothered by the viral song ‘MBG - Mas Bahlil Ganteng’ on social media, responding lightheartedly to the track about its chairman Bahlil Lahadalia.

The song ‘MBG - Mas Bahlil Ganteng’ is considered unique, with some content creators reacting to it and netizens finding it catchy.

“We’re taking it in stride. Besides, the song is ‘cute’, funny, and entertaining,” said Golkar Secretary-General Sarmuji to Republika on Tuesday (26 May 2026).

Sarmuji stated Golkar is responding calmly to the song, not taking issue as the public enjoys it.

“If the song brings joy to citizens, Golkar is happy too,” he added.

Sarmuji suspects the song was born from netizens’ creativity in praising Bahlil’s work, as he is seen as capable of maintaining fuel stocks amid international volatility.

“That’s part of netizens’ creativity in appreciating Pak Bahlil’s efforts as minister who secured fuel supplies amid global energy supply uncertainty and kept subsidised fuel prices from rising,” Sarmuji said.

The lyrics are believed to be a compilation of social media comments, with dominant phrases sourced from a YouTube Total Politik interview clip of Bahlil Lahadalia in April 2026.

In the clip, Bahlil was heard using the terms ‘Kanda-Dinda’, which contributed to his viral status.
