Golden Glove delayed for third time

JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Amateur Boxing Association (Pertina) Central Java chapter, which is also coordinating the Golden Glove (STE) 2000, decided to delay the event until April, instead of holding it in March as previously scheduled, due to venue unavailability.

The chapter's secretary Sujatmiko told Antara from Semarang that the venue would be used for another event even though the chapter had made an earlier reservation.

Pertina deputy secretary general Didiet Sudijoto told reporters he was surprised with the decision.

"This is the third delay since its initial scheduling for last December," he was quoted as saying by the news agency. (nvn)
