Gold Prices Today 8 June 2026: Antam Rises Again, Reaching Rp2.74 Million per Gram
The price of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) gold bullion experienced another increase during Monday morning trading, 8 June 2026. According to data published on the official Logam Mulia website at 08:37 WIB, Antam gold prices rose by Rp5,000 per gram compared to the previous trading session.
This increase brings the current price of Antam gold to the level of Rp2,743,000 per gram, up from the previous Rp2,738,000 per gram. In line with the increase in selling prices, the buyback value—the price at which Antam repurchases gold—has also risen. Today, the Antam gold buyback price is recorded at Rp2,540,000 per gram.
This price hike reaffirms the positive trend of precious metals, which remain a preferred investment instrument for the public during periods of global economic and financial market uncertainty. The movement of Antam gold prices essentially follows global gold price developments, which are influenced by various factors including the global economic climate, inflation, interest rates, and the increased demand for safe-haven assets.
When economic uncertainty rises, investors tend to shift portions of their assets into instruments considered safer, such as gold. Such conditions typically drive up precious metal prices in the international market, which is subsequently reflected in domestic gold prices, including Antam gold. Additionally, fluctuations in the Rupiah exchange rate against the US Dollar can affect domestic gold prices. When the exchange rate faces pressure, gold prices have the potential to move higher because international gold transactions are denominated in US Dollars.
Nevertheless, Antam gold prices are subject to change at any time following market dynamics and price updates from Logam Mulia. Not only the selling price, but the buyback value—the price received by gold owners when selling bullion back to Antam—has also strengthened. Today, the buyback price is recorded at Rp2,540,000 per gram. The buyback price is a key indicator for investors as it reflects the liquidation value of held gold. However, the public should note that gold buyback transactions are still subject to taxation regulations in accordance with applicable laws.
