Gold Prices Today, 30 March 2026: Plummet! Now in the Rp2.8 Million Range
Gold prices today, 30 March 2026, in Batam have experienced a decline at the beginning of the week and are now in the range of Rp2.8 million per gram. This drop follows the weakening trend of national gold prices produced by Antam.
According to the latest data, Antam gold prices have fallen by around Rp30,000 per gram, from the previous Rp2,837,000 to Rp2,807,000 per gram. Meanwhile, the buyback price has also weakened to Rp2,425,000 per gram.
In the Batam market, gold prices sold at gold shops and official outlets are generally in the range of Rp2.8 million to Rp2.9 million per gram, depending on the product type, size, and place of purchase.
An employee at Toko Mas Sri Kandi Yadi in Batam said the gold price decline has been felt over the past few days. “Prices have indeed dropped compared to before, but buyer interest is starting to increase, especially for small-sized gold bars,” he said on Monday (30/3).
According to him, some people are taking advantage of the price drop to buy gold as a long-term investment. However, there are also those who are still waiting for the possibility of further price declines.
Unlike the national reference price which has dropped, gold prices at Pegadaian Batam remain stable. Antam gold products are sold for around Rp2,937,000 per gram, UBS Rp2,832,000 per gram, and Galeri24 Rp2,818,000 per gram.
These prices have not experienced significant changes since the end of last weekend.
This gold price decline is influenced by several global factors, such as the strengthening of the US dollar and changes in interest rate policies. This condition makes gold prices tend to move fluctuatively in the short term.
Despite the decline, gold remains one of the investment instruments favoured by the public, especially for the long term, as it is considered relatively safe.
Gold prices are expected to continue moving dynamically following global market developments in the coming period.
Based on monitoring at several outlets, 24-carat gold prices are currently in the range of Rp2.9 million to Rp3.05 million per gram.
Gold prices in Batam have corrected over the last two days.
