Gold prices today, Saturday 23 May 2026, declined again. Antam’s 1-gram gold price at Logam Mulia weakened, while Galeri 24 and UBS prices at Pegadaian also moved lower.

According to the official Logam Mulia site, Antam’s 1-gram gold price fell by Rp 15,000 from Rp 2,788,000 per gram to Rp 2,773,000 per gram. The Antam buyback price also declined by Rp 15,000 per gram from Rp 2,592,000 to Rp 2,577,000 per gram.

Meanwhile, Antam’s gold price at Pegadaian weakened by Rp 15,000 per gram from Rp 2,886,000 to Rp 2,871,000 per gram. The UBS price fell by Rp 11,000 per gram to Rp 2,815,000 from Rp 2,826,000 per gram.

The price movement comes as global gold prices weakened, pointing to a second consecutive weekly decline. Price pressures were linked to a rise in crude oil prices, stoking inflation concerns and boosting market expectations for a potential US interest-rate hike.

Gold prices traded around $4,500 per ounce, heading toward a second straight weekly drop. Separately, markets began pricing in the possibility of a Fed rate increase before year-end, with roughly a 55 percent probability of a 25 basis-point rise in October 2026.

Looking ahead, expectations of higher interest rates generally weigh on gold, as bullion does not pay yields, potentially diminishing its appeal when yield-bearing instruments become more competitive.

Based on commodity trading data as of 22 May 2026, global gold prices stood at around $4,516.75 per ounce, down 0.58% on the day. Year-on-year, gold prices have risen by 34.51%.
