Gold Prices Forecast to Move Between IDR 2.55 Million and IDR 2.78 Million per Gram Next Week
Gold prices remain in a downward trend, coinciding with easing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Next week, gold prices are predicted to move in the range of IDR 2.55 million to IDR 2.78 million per gram.
At the close of trading this week, world gold prices were recorded at 4,174 US dollars per troy ounce. The precious metal closed at a level of IDR 2.67 million per gram.
Currency and commodity observer Ibrahim Assuaibi projects that if a correction occurs, the first support level for gold will be at 4,100 US dollars per troy ounce. The precious metal price is moving at IDR 2.65 million per gram.
“If it corrects further, the second support level is at 4,000 US dollars per troy ounce, with the precious metal at IDR 2.55 million per gram,” Ibrahim said in a voice statement to reporters on Sunday (5/7/2026).
Meanwhile, if world gold prices strengthen, the first resistance level is 4,248 US dollars per troy ounce, with the precious metal at IDR 2.69 million per gram. “If gold and the precious metal strengthen further, the second resistance level is at 4,348 US dollars per troy ounce, and the precious metal at IDR 2.78 million per gram,” he continued.
At the same time, Ibrahim predicts that if it corrects, world oil prices are expected to be in the range of 64.70 US dollars per barrel, approaching the 60 US dollars per barrel level. Meanwhile, if it rises, the resistance level is at 72.10 US dollars per barrel.
For the US dollar index, he predicts that next week its movement will likely be in the 100-102 position. Meanwhile, the prediction for the rupiah exchange rate is in the range of IDR 17,850 to IDR 18,100 per US dollar.
Ibrahim explained several sentiments that will influence the movement of gold or precious metal prices next week. These range from geopolitical dynamics, the US central bank’s interest rate policy, to demand and supply conditions.
“Regarding geopolitics in the Middle East, we know that following the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran, the Strait of Hormuz is becoming increasingly busy, and there is currently an oversupply in crude oil shipments,” he said.
