When is the right time to buy gold?
The drop in gold prices often leads prospective investors to wonder if it is time to buy. However, a falling price does not necessarily mean it has reached its lowest point.
According to Reuters, there is no specific date or price level that can be definitively identified as the best time to buy gold. The movement of precious metals is influenced by several factors, ranging from the US dollar, interest rates, and bond yields to global economic conditions and geopolitical uncertainty.
One condition to observe is when gold prices undergo a correction after previously recording an increase. However, prospective buyers still need to assess whether the correction is continuing or if the price is beginning to stabilise.
Global market conditions are also crucial to monitor. When the US dollar strengthens and bond yields increase, gold may face pressure because gold does not provide interest like fixed-income instruments.
