Gold Price Update Today at Pegadaian Drops: Time to Buy or Sell?

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Gold prices today, Monday (13/4/2026) afternoon at Pegadaian, were observed to weaken on several precious metal products compared to morning trading. Based on the latest data on the Sahabat Pegadaian website, the price of 1-gram Galeri 24 gold is now at Rp 2,838,000 per gram, down Rp 38,000 from the previous level of Rp 2,876,000 per gram. Meanwhile, the price of 1-gram Antam gold is recorded at Rp 2,931,000 per gram, down Rp 44,000 from the previous Rp 2,975,000 per gram. Pegadaian provides gold bars in various sizes, from 0.5 grams to 1,000 grams or equivalent to 1 kilogram. This range of denominations offers flexibility for the public to invest according to their needs and financial capabilities. For long-term investors, a price correction like this is generally used to buy gradually. This strategy aims to lower the average purchase price while optimising potential gains in the future. However, selling during a price drop risks locking in losses, especially for investors who bought at higher prices previously.
