JAKARTA (JP): The World Gold Council will hold a three-day international gold exhibition in Padang, West Sumatra, early in April, the chairman of the council's Indonesian branch, Leo Hadi, said.
"A seminar and brief training courses for local goldsmiths will also be held to coincide with the exhibition," Antara quoted Leo yesterday as saying.
He said foreign instructors, including some from Italy, will address the course.
"Through such a training course, we expect local gold craftsmen can improve their expertise in designing gold jewelry," Leo said.
Some 2,000 traditional and contemporary gold items made by 30 goldsmiths will be displayed at the exhibition, he said. (kod)
