Gold ETF, a New Alternative for Gold Investment
Gold investment can now be made through various instruments, not only by purchasing physical gold. One of the instruments newly available in Indonesia is the Exchange Traded Fund (ETF). This is because PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI), together with other Self-Regulatory Organizations, namely Kliring Penjaminan Efek Indonesia and Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia, as well as capital market industry players with the support of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), has officially launched the first gold ETF in the Indonesian capital market, coinciding with the 49th anniversary of the reactivation of Indonesia’s capital market on Monday, 10 August 2026, at the Main Hall of the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
