Gold design competition

The Indonesian branch of the World Gold Council (WGC) is
organize a gold design competition called Heart Collection '94.

The competition is opened to local gold designers, students
and the general public, Leo Hadi, chairman of the organizing
committee, said yesterday.

Contestants must submit their designs in the shape of a heart,
the theme of the competition, to the WGC office on the 12th floor
of Wisma Dharmala, Jl Sudirman Kav.28, Central Jakarta. The
deadline is Aug. 20, Hadi said.

The winners will be announced in November.

The contest, the first ever held by the WGC, is aimed at
encouraging gold design activities in the country and at
discovering talented designers. The WGC plans to hold the contest
every two years, he added.

The judges include noted fashion designer Harry Darsono and
jewelry designer Clara Arifin. (raw)
