Gojek's New Fare Calculation After Ojol Commission Cut Drops to 8%

Jakarta - Online transport service GoTo (Gojek) has officially reduced its platform commission for two-wheeled online motorcycle taxis (ojol) to 8% from the previous 20%, effective 1 July 2026, for both GoRide Reguler and GoRide Hemat services. This policy aligns with the directive delivered by President Prabowo Subianto on Labour Day, 1 May 2026.

Based on information from Gojek distributed to ojol partners, the reduction in the platform commission also affects trip fares, especially for the GoRide Hemat (GoRide MURAAAH) service. Additionally, there is a reduction in promotions, which impacts the increase in the total fare paid by users.

On the other hand, based on these calculations, ojol partners’ earnings also increase because the ‘Gacor’ subscription fee is completely abolished and replaced with a 92% share of the trip fare. Gojek’s commission, which was previously derived purely from the ‘Gacor’ subscription fee, is replaced by the 8% deduction. According to the calculation illustration, Gojek’s revenue from the GoRide Hemat (GoRide MURAAAH) service also increases due to the reduction in promotions given to customers.

Meanwhile, for GoRide Reguler (GoRide CEPAAAT), there is no change to the customer fare paid by users, although there are adjustments to the trip fare and a reduction in promotions. For ojol partners, there is an increase in earnings as they take 92% of the trip fare. For Gojek, revenue experiences a decline because the platform commission changes to 8%.
