Jakarta (ANTARA) - The ride-hailing app-based transport service platform Gojek has stated its readiness to review the reduction of the income deduction taken by applicator companies from online motorcycle taxi drivers to eight per cent.

This follows Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 27 of 2026, which was signed and announced by President Prabowo Subianto during the International Labour Day commemoration at the National Monument, Jakarta, on Friday.

“GoTo consistently complies with government regulations, including President Prabowo Subianto’s directives on protecting online transport workers as outlined in Perpres No. 27 of 2026,” said GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) President Director Hans Patuwo in a statement confirmed by ANTARA.

“Currently, we will conduct a review to understand the details, implications, and necessary adjustments in accordance with the regulation,” he added.

“So that GoTo/Gojek can continue to provide sustainable benefits to all of society, especially Gojek driver partners and customers,” he said.

Previously, President Prabowo had signed Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 27 of 2026 to reduce the income deduction taken by applicator companies from online motorcycle taxi drivers to eight per cent.

“I say here, I do not agree with 10 per cent, it must be below 10 per cent,” he stated.

Prabowo noted that previously, applicator parties had requested a contribution or deduction of 20 per cent from drivers’ income.

Through this new regulation, the government has set a much lower new standard to increase the net income of online transport workers.
