'God Tests You Because He Loves You': Moroccan Girl's Touching Message to Palestine

TANGIER — A young Moroccan girl captured attention on social media during a solidarity rally in the city of Tangier, northern Morocco. She delivered a heartfelt message to the people of Palestine in the Gaza Strip and prisoners held in Israeli jails.

As reported by Al Jazeera on Tuesday (24/2/2026), the girl spoke at a demonstration condemning statements made by the United States Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee.

“This struggle is our way of showing solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Gaza,” she said, adding that she wished to convey three messages.

She continued, “First of all, I want to say to our brothers and sisters in Gaza, especially the prisoners in the Israeli occupation’s jails: God tests you because He loves you,” quoting the words of the Prophet ﷺ:

“If God loves a people, He will test them. Whoever accepts the trial shall receive His pleasure, and whoever rejects it shall receive His wrath.”

The Moroccan girl went on to say, “Know, O people of Gaza, that great reward comes with great tribulation.”

The video received widespread engagement on social media, with activists praising the girl’s words, noting that she had genuinely and spontaneously expressed her solidarity with the Palestinian people.
