Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk. (GMFI) recorded a net profit for the full year 2025 of US$33.9 million, or equivalent to Rp570 billion. The figure represents a significant increase of 26.3% from 2024, when it was US$26.9 million, or Rp451 billion. The net profit achievement stemmed from growth in operating revenues of US$491.9 million, or about Rp8.25 trillion, in 2025. This revenue rose 16.8% from the previous year. GMFI’s Chief Executive Andi Fahrurrozi said the improved performance was supported by corporate actions including land inbreng valued at Rp5.6 trillion that strengthened the company’s fixed asset base and returned its equity position to positive. According to him, the company’s improved financial performance was underpinned by operational transformation undertaken consistently throughout 2025, ranging from boosting operational productivity, accelerating turnaround time (TAT), strengthening infrastructure, and meeting various international certifications and qualifications. “2025 represents a proving moment for GMF in executing a range of transformation steps and strategic corporate actions both aggressively and measurably,” he said in a virtual press conference on Friday, 22 May 2026. He noted that revenue growth contributions came from the non-group affiliates segment, reaching US$141.3 million, or 28.7% of total revenue. “In the commercial aircraft maintenance sector, GMFI managed to maintain trust of existing customers such as Korean Air, VietJet Air, and Cebu Pacific, while expanding its new customer base with One Air, Air Swift, and Texel Air,” he said. During 2025, GMFI also completed the reactivation of 13 Citilink Airbus A320 aircraft and two Airbus A330 aircraft for Garuda Indonesia, as part of the Garuda Indonesia Group’s synergies to optimise national flight fleet readiness. In the defence sector, GMFI completed maintenance work on Bell 412 helicopters up to the fourth unit and two VIP Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The company is expanding its defence industry capabilities through strategic cooperation with Dassault Aviation in implementing the Local Content and Offset (IDKLO) program for the Rafale aircraft. Non-commercial aircraft lines of business, specifically SBU Defence Industry, Industrial Solutions, and Power Services, also posted positive growth with revenue of US$36.7 million, up 59.9% from the previous year. Meanwhile, the balance sheet saw total assets surge to US$813 million, or about Rp13.6 trillion, up 91.5% from the previous year. The capital structure also showed a significant improvement, with equity turning from a previously negative US$257.9 million (Rp4.33 trillion) to a positive US$114.6 million (Rp1.92 trillion). Separately, he revealed that GMFI targets annual revenue of US$542.8 million with an estimated net profit of US$35.1 million. For Q1 2026, year-to-date net profit stood at US$6.76 million with operating revenue of US$114.94 million. He said the target would be achieved through the continuation of corporate transformation, strengthening operational fundamentals, and profitable business growth. Through sustained positive performance and efficiency amid market dynamics and industry challenges, GMFI is ready to move further in delivering integrated solutions for the aviation industry and other sectors,” he concluded.
