Jakarta — PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF) has confirmed operational readiness of 96 aircraft from the Garuda Indonesia Group during the extended holiday period for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, running from 10 March to 2 April 2026.

GMF Chief Executive Officer Andi Fahrurrozi stated in Jakarta on Tuesday that ensuring resource readiness is a key factor in maintaining aircraft services during the Eid holiday period.

“We ensure readiness of manpower, tools, material, and maintenance facilities at various strategic locations, whilst preparing special work guidelines during peak season and strengthening safety awareness for all personnel so that each maintenance process runs safely and optimally,” he said.

Throughout this period, GMF will support 11,147 flights operated by Garuda Indonesia and Citilink using 96 aircraft.

Of the total fleet, 18 aircraft have been successfully reactivated by GMF and returned to service to support increased flight capacity during the holiday season.

To ensure smooth operations, GMF is deploying more than 1,000 personnel distributed across 43 line maintenance stations throughout Indonesia.

Support efforts are concentrated at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Cengkareng and several multibase areas with high flight frequencies, including Kualanamu (KNO), Surabaya (SUB), Denpasar (DPS), and Makassar (UPG).

Through the multibase concept, GMF stations line maintenance teams, equipment, materials, and spare parts at various strategic airports, enabling rapid aircraft handling without requiring return to the main facility in Cengkareng.
