Glodok, Grogol get extra security

JAKARTA: The commercial areas of Glodok and Grogol in West Jakarta will be heavily guarded by public order officers until the inauguration of the new president on Oct. 20, public order office head Sukarno said on Tuesday.

"The two areas are considered to be the most prone to rioting. Grogol is home to several university campuses and close to shopping malls, while Glodok is a center of business activity," Sukarno was quoted as saying by Detik.com news portal.

He said both areas had received extra security since the first round of the presidential election on July 5. -- JP
