Global economic uncertainty and increasing geopolitical tensions are posing significant challenges to the smooth flow of trade. In response to this unpredictable dynamic, collaboration among stakeholders in the logistics sector is becoming crucial to dampen volatility and ensure global supply chains continue to function. Addressing this critical need, PT Cipta Krida Bahari (CKB Logistics) held a strategic forum titled CKB Supply Chain Forum (CSCF) 2026, with the theme ‘Resilient Supply Chain: Navigating Global Disruption Through Logistics Collaboration’, in Jakarta on Thursday (25/6/2026). CKB Logistics partnered with Supply Chain Indonesia (SCI) and the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC). As a logistics partner and a subsidiary of PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABMM), the company affirmed its readiness to tackle industry challenges and global supply chain disruptions. CKB Logistics Director Iman Sjafei stated that current geopolitical dynamics are triggering trade route volatility, which directly hampers the supply chain of goods. ‘Global geopolitical tensions are creating real obstacles. Through the CKB Supply Chain Forum 2026, we are inviting all parties to collaborate in formulating logistics solutions that are robust, responsive, and integrated. This synergy is essential for us to mitigate risks, face various worst-case scenarios, and ensure the wheels of distribution continue to turn smoothly,’ Iman explained. He elaborated that CSCF 2026 is designed to transform into a collaborative ecosystem and an interactive network for professionals, academics, and business leaders to align with the latest customs regulations and generate adaptive business innovations. ‘The combination of SCI’s academic expertise, the Customs authority’s policies, and CKB Logistics’ reliable operational capabilities makes this event more than just a discussion platform. This forum can be a primary catalyst driving sustainable national economic growth amidst ever-changing market dynamics,’ Iman concluded. CKB Logistics Director of Logistics and Distribution Ety Puspitasari added that supply chain management in strategic industries needs immediate transformation. The operational approach can no longer be solely cost-efficiency driven but must shift to prioritising resilience. ‘A resilience-driven approach is not achieved by completely avoiding disruptions, but through designing flexible operational networks and close collaboration across the entire logistics ecosystem. The goal is to enable a much faster business recovery when a crisis occurs,’ explained Ety, who presented material on Adaptive Distribution Strategies: Mitigating Risk in Supply Chains. Ety detailed that to overcome operational challenges, companies must implement comprehensive supply chain risk management. This relies on an integrated framework encompassing risk governance, visibility, flexibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement. ‘Concrete steps include end-to-end risk mapping, drafting adaptive contingency SOPs, and utilising Digital Control Tower technology to achieve high operational visibility,’ Ety emphasised. The CSCF 2026 also featured an academic perspective from SCI Founder & CEO Setijadi. He presented material on Building Resilient Supply Chains to strengthen the fundamental understanding of industry players. He conveyed that risk management must be integrated into daily operations, from procurement, inventory, and warehousing to transportation, customs, distribution, and customer service. SCI recommends five pillars of supply chain resilience: risk governance, visibility, flexibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Implementation includes end-to-end risk mapping, prioritisation based on business impact, drafting contingency SOPs, securing alternative suppliers and routes, maintaining strategic inventory, establishing early warning systems, and utilising digital control towers. A representative from DJBC appreciated the organisation of the CKB Supply Chain Forum 2026. As a regulator, Customs views CKB Logistics’ initiative as helpful to the government in disseminating updates on export-import regulations, thereby ensuring legal compliance in strategic sectors, particularly mining, oil and gas, and construction, is well maintained.
