Global Telco and Digital Players Gather at BATIC 2026 to Strengthen Collaboration
The Bali Annual Telkom International Conference (BATIC) was held again last August for its 11th edition. This event serves as a strategic forum to bring together global digital economy opportunities.
“Because BATIC is indeed one of the largest events globally. It is not just about Indonesia, but globally, it brings many parties together, especially players in the telecommunications and digital infrastructure sectors,” said the President Director of Telkom Indonesia, Dian Siswaruna, in an interview with CNBC Indonesia TV.
She also explained that BATIC continues to grow year after year. For the 2026 implementation, at least more than 2,700 participants attended the event, a significant increase from the 1,700 participants in the previous year.
Participants were present from 75 countries, including from the Latin American region. More than 760 companies were also recorded as taking part in BATIC this year.
In terms of participants and the lineup of speakers, the event was deemed far more diverse. Dian even mentioned that some companies brought up to 25 people in a single delegation to attend this event.
“This proves that they see that by participating with Telin, it creates value for their business and their operations. So, it is not just a gathering; it creates value. They arrived with businesses, they arrived with needs, and they also arrived with their solutions,” she explained.
Dian added that there was a special event this year called IgnitePro. This agenda was intended for enterprise business players and successfully attracted very high interest.
For PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, BATIC also provides specific advantages, ranging from scouting potential partners and collaborators to attracting strategic investors into the state-owned enterprise group.
She believes that BATIC will continue to be one of the important pillars helping the sustainability and growth of Telkom’s business in the future.
For the next BATIC implementation, Dian emphasised that they will strive to present an even larger event, while simultaneously providing added value for Telkom, Bali, and all participants in attendance.
“So, we will see what the trends are for next year. Because currently, these trends are moving faster and even faster,” she remarked.
