Global Market Expansion, Multi Bintang Begins Export of Bintang Radler to Australia
Tangerang — PT Multi Bintang Indonesia Tbk, part of The Heineken Company (MLBI), officially began exporting Bintang Radler to Australia in 2026. This follows a limited market test conducted in December 2025 that received a positive response from Australian consumers. The shipments mark the initial phase of a year-long programme of Bintang Radler exports in 2026, and signify an important milestone in Multi Bintang Indonesia’s export portfolio development, which has historically been dominated by Bintang Pilsener. The move also reflects a significant expansion in the company’s export scale, with growth of up to three times compared with prior periods. Roland Bala, President Director of PT Multi Bintang Indonesia Tbk, said the export carries strategic significance for the company. “Export of Bintang Radler reflects the evolution of our portfolio, from being dominated by BINTANG Pilsener to a more diverse range. This is part of our ambition to bring more variants to the global market,” he said in a statement dated Wednesday, 20 May 2026. “In Australia, the Bintang brand has long had a close affinity with consumers who have visited Indonesia. Now we want to ensure that they can easily enjoy the unique refreshment in their own country,” he added. The export release was also attended by Merrijantij Punguan Pintaria, Director of the Beverage, Tobacco and Refreshment Materials Industry at the Ministry of Industry, who expressed support for national industry efforts to expand international markets. “The export initiative demonstrates the competitiveness of Indonesian products and the role of the industry in strengthening the presence of national brands in the global market,” the official said. Head of the Tangerang Customs Office, Indriya Karyadi, also emphasised the importance of exports for the national economy. “We support Multi Bintang Indonesia’s export steps as they contribute positively to foreign trade and strengthen Indonesia’s position in the global trading chain,” he stated.
