GlobaCulture 2005 at UI
The University of Indonesia's Students of International Relations Association will hold a five-day event titled "GlobaCulture 2005" at the university's Center for Japanese Studies in Depok from Nov. 21 to Nov. 25.
During the event, there will be exhibitions by foreign embassies and non-governmental organizations.
In addition, a seminar will be held to discuss the role of multinational corporations in globalization with a case study on the current energy crisis faced by Indonesia.
On the last day of the event, there will be a discussion on China's economic success, the role of the corporate sector in that success, and the lessons that can be learned by Indonesia.
The event is intended to underline the importance of interaction between states, NGOs and corporations in the globalization era.
All are welcome to attend the event, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
