Glider mishap kills tourist, pilot

JAKARTA: The pilot of a microlight and its passenger, a Saudi Arabian tourist, died when it crashed at Cileutuh, Bogor regency on Wednesday at about 4:30 p.m.

Irfan Kobandaha, 32, was an instructor at the Lido Aerosport club, while Sulaeman Abdullah Al Yahya was an employee of Aramco oil company in his home country.

An eyewitness said that he saw the microlight take off and then repeatedly spun round before it crashed.

There was good visibility and only light winds when the incident occurred. --JP
