Glencore: ESG implementation is key to the competitiveness of Indonesia's nickel downstreaming

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Swiss-based global mining and commodity trading company, Glencore, believes that the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects is key to strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesia’s nickel downstreaming within the global supply chain.

Glencore’s Co-head of Responsible Sourcing, Ilse Schooters, stated that good sustainability governance is not enough to be met merely through administrative compliance; it must be integrated into the business models and operations of companies.
