A nine-year-old girl, identified as B, who was bitten by a pitbull at the Grand Cendana Residence complex in Arjasari District, Bandung Regency, West Java, on Sunday (23/8/2026), has had to undergo surgery at Welas Asih Hospital in Bandung Regency. The procedure was carried out because the victim suffered serious injuries to her head and ear.
“The victim’s wounds are on her head and ear. Last night surgery was performed on her ear, and this morning the victim has been moved to the recovery room,” said Pameungpeuk Police Chief Commissioner Asep Dedi on Monday (24/8/2026).
He said the victim suffered lacerations to her head and ear from the dog bite. After undergoing surgery, the victim’s condition has gradually improved.
The police chief added that the dog that bit the victim has been moved to a special quarantine facility, so the animal is no longer in the residential area or at its owner’s home.
