Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Gaikindo Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle Expo (GIICOMVEC) 2026 recorded a total of 12,685 visitors over the four-day event, an increase of 10 per cent compared to the previous year’s exhibition.

General Chairman of the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (GAIKINDO) Putu Juli Ardika in Jakarta on Monday stated that the commercial vehicle exhibition focused on the business-to-business (B2B) segment.

“GIICOMVEC will be able to contribute precisely in providing opportunities for the Indonesian commercial vehicle industry to continue growing and developing,” said Putu.

“The organisation of GIICOMVEC also serves as a platform for business players to share various information and education through seminars and workshops held throughout the exhibition,” said Anton.

The success of the exhibition is inseparable from government support, particularly from the Ministry of Industry, which opened the event.

“The presence of the Ministry of Industry, represented by the Secretary General and the Director General of ILMATE, who took the time to attend and directly review the developments in the commercial vehicle industry, discuss with exhibition participants, constitutes extraordinary support for the commercial vehicle industry,” said Putu.

GAIKINDO expressed gratitude for the participation and support from GAIKINDO members, all participants, fellow associations, and visitors from various business lines.

Over the four days of the event, visitors could view and find commercial vehicles that match their business operational specifications. A total of 14 commercial vehicle brands participated in the exhibition.

In addition, more than 45 supporting industry brands also complemented the diversity of the event by displaying the latest innovations, ranging from bodywork technology and spare parts to digital fleet management systems.
