REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The GAIKINDO Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle Expo 2026 (GIICOMVEC) will return from 8–11 April 2026 at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta. Entering its fourth edition, the event increasingly affirms its role as a meeting point for players in the transportation and logistics industry.

Supported by the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, GIICOMVEC 2026 goes beyond merely showcasing products, offering a more practical approach to business needs.

GAIKINDO General Chairman Putu Juli Ardika views the exhibition as a reflection of the progress in the national automotive industry, particularly in the commercial vehicle sector, which is now deemed capable of competing in the global market.

Ahead of the opening, the JIExpo Kemayoran area is beginning to bustle with booth construction activities by participants. Several global and national automotive brands are preparing to display their latest commercial vehicle lines, from light to heavy segments.

The exhibition area is divided into several zones. Hall B1 and B2 will house light commercial vehicles, while Hall B3 will focus on heavy commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. This division facilitates visitors in exploring various transportation solutions according to their business needs.

One of the main attractions this year is the presence of the Demo Area and Outdoor Static Display facilities. Both are designed to provide direct experiences to visitors, especially business operators who require careful consideration before selecting operational vehicles.

The Demo Area, located outside Hall B3, allows visitors to test vehicle performance directly, from safety aspects to comfort. Meanwhile, the Outdoor Static Display offers space to observe technical details of vehicles more comprehensively, including structures and supporting devices.

The exhibition organiser’s chairman, Anton Kumonty, stated that this approach is expected to assist business operators in making decisions based on real field needs.

“Through these facilities, visitors not only see but also directly experience the performance of vehicles that will be used in business operations,” he said.

As a business-to-business (B2B) exhibition, GIICOMVEC 2026 is open to industry players through registration as trade visitors. The event is dedicated to business audiences from 8–10 April, before opening to the public on the final day, 11 April 2026.

With an increasingly interactive concept, GIICOMVEC 2026 is expected to serve as one of the benchmarks for the development of commercial vehicles in Indonesia, while bridging industry needs with the latest technological innovations.
