GIIAS 2026 to Be Held in Late July, Featuring 6 New Automotive Brands
Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 will return to ICE BSD City in Tangerang Regency from 30 July to 9 August 2026. The annual automotive event, marking its 33rd edition, will feature over 60 vehicle brands across various segments of the automotive industry.
Anton Kumontoy, Gaikindo’s Executive Chairman and Event Conference Chairman, stated that GIIAS 2026 will commence with an Exclusive Media Day on 29 July 2026 for media before opening to the public the following day.
“This is a source of pride for us as we are once again hosting the 33rd edition of GIIAS in 2026,” Anton said during a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday, 26 May.
He emphasised that GIIAS is not merely a platform for new vehicle launches but also a stage for future automotive technology. This year’s theme, “Eyes of the Future”, reflects advancements in smart vehicles and modern automotive industry innovations.
“Through this theme, GIIAS 2026 will showcase future innovations, including smart vehicle technology, autonomous systems, and eco-friendly automotive solutions,” he added.
According to Anton, GIIAS has become one of the world’s largest automotive exhibitions and is increasingly attracting global brands. Several international automotive manufacturers have chosen GIIAS as the venue for their first launches in Southeast Asia or globally.
In addition to showcasing the latest technology and vehicles, GIIAS 2026 will also host the Gaikindo International Automotive Conference and daily seminars bringing together experts, industry players, and stakeholders to discuss global automotive industry developments.
As of May 2026, more than 60 vehicle brands are confirmed to participate in GIIAS 2026, comprising 41 passenger vehicle brands, six commercial vehicle brands, four body manufacturers, and 12 motorcycle brands. Participation is bolstered by hundreds of supporting automotive industry brands.
Anton revealed six new vehicle brands will make their debut at GIIAS 2026, spanning passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and motorcycles.
“The most notable aspect is that six new vehicle brands will be participating in GIIAS 2026 for the first time,” he said.
Following the BSD City event, the GIIAS The Series 2026 will be held in other major cities including Surabaya, Bandung, Semarang, and Makassar. Gaikindo also plans to add Bali as a new location for the exhibition series in early 2027.
Gaikindo believes this expanded reach will further create opportunities to boost the national automotive industry’s growth.
During the event, Anton expressed appreciation to all participants, sponsors, and media supporting GIIAS 2026. Companies such as Astra Credit Companies and Toyota Astra Finance are returning as Platinum Financial Partners, alongside other sponsors supporting the annual automotive event. (H-2)
