Competition to capture consumers at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 is not merely occurring through new product launches. Almost all automotive brands are rolling out various sales programmes, financing options, and after-sales services designed to make vehicle ownership easier for consumers while reducing total ownership costs.

This strategy reflects the intense competition within the national automotive market. Amidst a wide array of new vehicle choices, manufacturers are attempting to increase appeal through low credit interest rates, low down payments, cashback, extended warranties, and after-sales service bonuses valued at tens of millions of rupiah.

Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Bansar Maduma, stated that all programmes presented by Toyota are designed to provide both convenience and peace of mind for customers throughout their vehicle ownership.

“These various promotions are designed to accommodate public enthusiasm for Toyota products by providing ease and peace of mind to users during the period of ownership,” said Bansar.

Toyota is offering credit interest rates of approximately 1 per cent for several hybrid and diesel models, including the Veloz Hybrid, Yaris Cross Hybrid, Innova Zenix Hybrid, Alphard Hybrid, Innova Diesel, and Fortuner Diesel. Specifically for the Fortuner Diesel and Innova Diesel, benefits of up to Rp10 million are available in the form of fuel cashback, zero per cent interest, free first instalments, insurance, and trade-in programmes. Toyota is also providing trade-in cashback of up to Rp15 million, travel vouchers for Garuda Indonesia and Tiket.com, AstraPay bonuses, and free trials of the G-Fleet+ service.

In addition to purchase programmes, Toyota has introduced the Toyota Customization Option (TCO), which allows consumers to personalise their vehicles using official accessories, including GR Parts and special accessories for the Land Cruiser FJ.

Hyundai has opted for a different strategy by implementing permanent price cuts for the STARGAZER Cartenz and Cartenz X, while simultaneously offering various financing facilities during GIIAS 2026. Prices for the STARGAZER Cartenz now start from Rp241.4 million, while the Cartenz X is marketed starting from Rp350 million.

Hyundai’s purchase programmes include down payments starting from 7 per cent, instalments starting from Rp2 million, a resale value guarantee of up to 70 per cent for certain models, free periodic maintenance, and Bluelink services for five years. Additional benefits include trade-in incentives of up to Rp10 million and further advantages of up to Rp8 million. Hyundai is also providing nine test-drive units and various interactive activities at their booth to attract visitors.
