GIGI to perform at Poster Cafe

JAKARTA (JP): To cap off its tour of Java and Bali, the local pop group GIGI is slated to perform tomorrow night at 8 p.m. at the Poster Cafe on Jl. Gatot Subroto.

"After the Jakarta show, which is part of 'Tour Music Bentoel', we plan to play in Hong Kong and the U.S.," the group's manager, Dhanny Widjanarko, was quoted by Antara as saying yesterday.

During the tour, the group also met with fans, mostly teenagers, to discuss social concerns and other issues.

Dhanny said that the band's rapport with its fans has been key to helping the group maintain its popularity. (sur)
