Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka welcomed the arrival of President Prabowo Subianto at Halim Perdanakusuma TNI Air Force Base in Jakarta on Friday 27 February 2026, following a series of working visits to the United States, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates.

The Garuda Indonesia-1 presidential aircraft carrying the President and delegation touched down amid heavy rain over the capital. In addition to the Vice President, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attended the reception.

During his visit to the United States on 19–21 February 2026, President Prabowo attended the inaugural Board of Peace (BoP) summit in Washington DC. At the forum, Indonesia reaffirmed its support for achieving peace in Palestine.

The President stated that he had studied the 20-point proposal from US President Donald Trump within the BoP framework and was confident that peace in Palestine could be realised.

President Prabowo also held a bilateral meeting with President Donald Trump during the same visit. The two leaders discussed the reciprocal tariff agreement that had been negotiated for some time.

The meeting resulted in the signing of the Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART), which grants 0 percent tariffs to 1,819 Indonesian national products in the US market, including palm oil, coffee, cocoa, and electronic components.

Subsequently, on Monday 23 February, President Prabowo witnessed the signing of a framework agreement between the Indonesian Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) and Arm Ltd in London, England. Arm controls approximately 96 percent of chip technology for the global automotive sector and nearly 94 percent of chip design for data centres and artificial intelligence. The partnership aims to accelerate mastery of strategic technology that forms the foundation of modern digital innovation.

On Wednesday 25 February, President Prabowo continued his visit to Jordan, arriving at Marka Military Airport in Amman. He held a bilateral meeting with King Abdullah II discussing Palestinian peace issues, Indonesia’s participation in the Peace Council, and developments in the West Bank region.

The two leaders also discussed measures to maintain the momentum of peace and regional stability. Jordan is regarded as holding a strategic position as an entry point for humanitarian assistance via land, sea, and air routes.

On Thursday 26 February, President Prabowo departed for the United Arab Emirates and was welcomed by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The visit was part of efforts to strengthen Indonesia’s strategic partnership with the UAE, which has continued to develop in recent years.
