Jakarta — Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka inspected the traffic control centre at Jasa Marga Toll Road Command Centre (JMTC) in Bekasi, West Java, on Tuesday (17 March 2026).

According to a statement from the Office of the Vice President (Setwapres), Gibran’s visit was conducted to assess Jasa Marga’s readiness in anticipating the flow of holiday travellers at various strategic points during the Nyepi Hindu holiday and Idul Fitri celebrations.

“I observed that the reports are quite comprehensive, and the equipment used here is also quite sophisticated, all in real time,” Gibran said.

The Vice President emphasised the importance of preparedness across all parties in maintaining the smooth flow of holiday travel so that the public can travel safely and comfortably.

From the command centre, he monitored traffic conditions across various sections of toll roads through an integrated monitoring system.

The Vice President also engaged in direct dialogue with field officers through virtual meetings to ensure that traffic management during the holiday rush operates effectively across various regions.

On this occasion, Gibran also greeted holiday travellers through Travoy FM radio broadcasts.

“This year there is already Travoy FM and I think this is very important, so friends can stay updated, for example information about when there will be one-way traffic and other things,” he said.
