Gibran Inspects Bundaran HI-Kota MRT Project, Accompanied by Pramono Anung and Transport Minister
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Vice President (VP) of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming conducted an inspection of the MRT Jakarta Phase 2A construction project on the Bundaran HI-Kota route.
Kompas.com observations at the site on Tuesday (12/5/2026) showed Gibran carrying out the inspection while wearing full personal protective equipment (PPE), from a helmet to a neon green vest with the MRT logo.
Gibran conducted this inspection together with Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi, and MRT Jakarta President Director Tuhiyat.
During the inspection, Gibran walked alongside Pramono and Dudy from CP202 Sawah Besar Station to CP202 Harmoni Station.
Gibran also took the time to greet the workers present at the construction site.
Previously reported, PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) is currently undertaking the MRT Jakarta Phase 2A project.
This project will connect Bundaran HI Station, which is part of MRT Jakarta Phase 1 (Lebak Bulus-Bundaran HI), with Kota Station.
MRT Jakarta Phase 2A will link Bundaran HI to Kota over approximately 5.8 kilometres with seven underground stations, namely Thamrin, Monas, Harmoni, Sawah Besar, Mangga Besar, Glodok, and Kota.
