Gibran Expresses Appreciation for TNI, Police, and Civil Servants on Duty During Lebaran Holiday
JAKARTA — Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka expressed appreciation to various parties who remained on duty to serve the public during the holiday period and annual mass exodus.
Gibran extended thanks to security personnel, state officials, and the media who continued working with full dedication.
“I wish to convey my highest thanks and appreciation to all members of the TNI, Polri, civil servants, and media colleagues—all parties who remained on duty with full dedication in accordance with the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Gibran, through the Vice President’s Secretariat YouTube account (@Setwapres), on Sunday (15 March 2026).
According to Gibran, the dedication of these personnel is crucial to ensure the public can carry out their activities, including travelling home during the exodus, safely and comfortably.
“This year is a particularly special year for the Indonesian nation as the celebration of Chinese New Year is held simultaneously with Ramadan fasting, and the celebration of Nyepi Day is held close to the celebration of Eid al-Fitr,” said Gibran.
He viewed this momentum as demonstrating that Indonesia’s diversity is not something that needs to be contested.
“Rather, it is the nation’s strength that is able to coexist in beautiful harmony,” said Gibran.
He also invited all members of society to be grateful for and care for the diversity that Indonesia possesses.
