Gibran emphasises student comfort during visit to Lampung People's School
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka emphasised the importance of maintaining a balance between the teaching and learning process and student comfort during their education while visiting the Integrated People’s School 35 in Bandarlampung, Lampung, on Friday.
According to information received in Jakarta, the visit is part of the government’s efforts under President Prabowo Subianto’s leadership to strengthen the quality of human resources (HR) through inclusive access to education and a learning environment that supports student development.
During the inspection, the Vice President toured several classrooms while greeting the students.
To the provincial government, teaching staff, and parents, the Vice President emphasised the importance of maintaining a balance between the teaching and learning process and student comfort during their education.
“The Vice President’s message was about how the children should still be cared for, supervised, and monitored. Not only the quality (of the lessons), but also emotionally. So that they always stay enthusiastic, their motivation in learning is always maintained,” said Lampung Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal after accompanying the Vice President.
In addition to ensuring a conducive learning environment, Gibran also assessed that the implementation of the People’s School programme continues to show positive developments.
“The People’s School programme is increasingly developing, meaning the quality is now showing good results,” said Rahmat.
On that occasion, the Vice President also inspected the English extracurricular class attended by students with enthusiasm. Warm interactions were evident as Gibran observed the learning process and had brief dialogues with the students and teachers.
English teacher Ratna Wulandari revealed that the Vice President appreciated the learning activities and encouraged their quality to be continuously improved.
“The Vice President said this is good, just needs to be improved further,” said Ratna after the inspection.
Before leaving the class, Gibran also advised the students to continue maintaining their learning enthusiasm to achieve their future aspirations.
“(The Vice President) generally gave a message to the students to stay enthusiastic in learning to achieve their aspirations,” said Ratna.
Through this inspection, the government hopes that the implementation of education in the People’s School not only expands learning access for children but also creates a healthy, comfortable learning atmosphere that supports the development of Indonesia’s young generation’s potential.
