Gibran checks Tuban market to ensure staple supply remains secure
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka inspected trading activity at Pasar Gelondong Gede, Tuban, East Java, on Friday, to ensure staple supply remains secure and prices of goods for the public stay affordable ahead of Eid. As conveyed in Jakarta, during the visit the Vice President also gave directions to the local government to continue ensuring food availability and keeping prices affordable for the public. Upon arrival, the Vice President toured the market area and interacted with traders and residents busy with activities. Gibran’s presence was welcomed by Pasar Gelondong Gede chief Sutadji and head of UPTD Pengelolaan TPI Agus Saleh Setiawan. In a separate briefing, Tuban Regent Aditya Halindra Faridzky said the Vice President gave several directions to the local government, particularly regarding maintaining stable supply and prices of staple goods ahead of Idul Fitri.
