Gibran Calls Dudung to Discuss Improvements to BGN Issues

Jakarta — The Presidential Staff Office (KSP) chief of staff, Dudung Abdurachman, said he was summoned to meet Vice President Gibran Rakabuming on Tuesday, 19 May 2026, to discuss issues related to the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

Dudung said his meeting with Gibran took place before he had his meeting with the head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana.

‘Just before meeting the head of BGN, I was summoned by the Vice President,’ Dudung said at his office in Jakarta on Tuesday, 19 May 2026.

During the meeting with Gibran, he said they discussed BGN, including plans to bring in experts.

In the meeting with the head of BGN, he revealed that they also discussed the situation at BGN.

Dadan was also said to have reported on the situation, operating mechanisms, and notable issues at BGN.

As KSP, Dudung promised Dadan to tightly oversee and monitor the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme, which is President Prabowo Subianto’s flagship initiative.

He said the synergy between the KSP and BGN is working well and will be further strengthened.

‘And BGN also asked for help with oversight because there are quite a lot of programmes, and this will be ramped up again,’ he added.
