Gibran Backs Global Scholarship Summit 2026, Stresses Access for Underprivileged Students
The CTARSA Foundation, together with the Indonesian Scholarship Forum - the Indonesian Scholarship Network Association (AJBI), held an audience with the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Gibran Rakabuming, at the Vice Presidential Palace in Jakarta. This strategic step was taken as an effort to build national synergy in strengthening the scholarship ecosystem while seeking support for the organisation of the Global Scholarship Summit 2026. During the audience on Wednesday, 22 July 2026, the committee presented the vision of the Global Scholarship Summit 2026 as an international-scale collaborative forum bringing together stakeholders in education, philanthropy, business, and government. The hope is that this forum will serve as a catalyst for tangible cooperation in expanding access to quality education for Indonesia’s young generation. The Global Scholarship Summit 2026 will be held on 8 September 2026 at The Trans Luxury Hotel Jakarta. Initiated by CTARSA Foundation and the Indonesian Scholarship Forum, the event is designed as a strategic platform to strengthen cross-sector partnerships in developing sustainable scholarship programmes. Unlike conventional discussion forums, the Global Scholarship Summit 2026 is designed as an exclusive, action-oriented forum. More than 100 strategic partners, corporate leaders, philanthropic organisations, donor agencies, educational institutions, and national and international partners will be brought together in one collaborative space to produce agreements, partnerships, and concrete solutions for the future of Indonesian education. The audience is also in line with the government’s commitment to strengthening human resource development as a foundation towards the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision. The meeting discussed various efforts to strengthen the national scholarship ecosystem through inter-agency synergy, increased multi-stakeholder collaboration, and expanded access to quality education for the public. Vice President Gibran Rakabuming expressed his support for the Global Scholarship Summit 2026 and stressed the importance of strengthening scholarship access so that more young Indonesians have the opportunity to develop their best potential, especially for high-achieving students from underprivileged families. CTARSA Foundation believes that collaboration is key to creating a scholarship system that is more inclusive, sustainable, and impactful. Through the Global Scholarship Summit 2026, it is hoped that strategic initiatives will emerge to connect the needs of the education sector with support from the private sector, philanthropy, and government, enabling more young Indonesians to access quality education without being hindered by economic limitations. The Global Scholarship Summit 2026 is expected to become an important momentum to strengthen national and international networks in building a stronger, more inclusive, and future-oriented scholarship ecosystem. With a spirit of collaboration, this forum aims to produce a superior generation ready to contribute to realising the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.
