Gibran attends Eid al-Adha prayer at Jakarta's Istiqlal Mosque

Vice President (VP) Gibran Raka Rakabuming attended Eid al-Adha prayers for 1447 H at Jakarta’s Istiqlal Mosque on Wednesday, 27 May. He was accompanied by his son, Jan Ethes Srinarendra, arriving at 6:51 AM WIB. The prayer service began around 7:00 AM WIB. Several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet also attended the prayer at Istiqlal, including Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon, and Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf. Meanwhile, President Prabowo Subianto attended Eid al-Adha prayers in Paris, France, during an official visit. He was scheduled to pray at the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Paris. ‘President Prabowo is scheduled to perform Eid al-Adha prayer and meet with Indonesian nationals at the KBRI residence in Paris,’ stated Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya in a written statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday, 26 May. VP Gibran Rakabuming Raka attended the Eid al-Adha prayer at Istiqlal Mosque, which had a theme of environmental conservation and humanity.
