Gibran Appreciates Thousands of MRT Phase 2A Project Workers: Thank You for Working Morning, Noon, and Night

JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming expressed his appreciation to thousands of workers on the Jakarta MRT Phase 2A construction project along the Bundaran HI-Kota route.

“Thank you, Mr Director, along with the team and especially the construction workers here, who number around 3,800, thank you very much for working morning, noon, and night so that the construction progress here can stay on timeline,” said Gibran after inspecting the MRT Phase 2A project in the Harmoni area, Jakarta, on Tuesday (12/5/2026).

Gibran inspected the progress of the MRT Phase 2A construction together with Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi and Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung.

From the explanation by MRT Jakarta’s President Director Tuhiyat, the progress of MRT Phase 2 construction has reached 59 percent.

“By the end of 2027, HI-Monas will be connected and operational. Then, by the end of 2029, it will connect to the Kota station. This is extraordinary progress,” he said.

“And I also convey my thanks to the Governor for his commitment to the construction of the MRT and LRT,” he added.
